Do u think the competitive is good toor not MNYnq
In modern societies, there is a growing competition between people and being competitive may be regarded as a favourable feature. In my opinion, healthy competition can be of great help to individuals, but putting too much emphasis on competition may have a negative effect.
Healthy competition has a huge of beneficial effects on every single person. Competition can stimulate the potential of people and thus promote individual progress. For example, some companies determine employees' salaries based on their performance. In such competitive circumstances, workers should work so hard to reach their goals and then get high payment, which can help them live a decent life. Conversely, if there is no competition with their colleagues, they will only be satisfied with their current status and would never know how much potential they possess. In that case, pursuing progress and innovation is impossible.
On the other, excessive competition may have many bad effects, which can be considered as a negative quality. Over-competition may cause people to neglect their relationships with others and lead to interpersonal tensions. For instance, some employees try to perform well in front of their bosses by lots of means, such as plagiarising their colleagues' ideas and denigrating others' reputations, all of which may cause conflicts among workers and affect the cooperation and productivity of staff. In addition, prolonged exposure to a competitive environment may affect the individual's health. People may be at a constant level of nervousness and high pressure, so their mental health is likely to be damaged.
In conclusion, there are advantages and disadvantages to competition with individuals. Healthy competition can tap into a person's strengths, but excessive competition seems to be hurting people in many aspects nowadays.
