All of we have about Counter-Strike Source 2
All of we have about Counter-Strike Source 2 pyVra
Recently, there have been rumors of the Source 2 game engine coming to CS: GO. We have no official information about this, and the pile of information we currently have is full of rumors and guesses combined. Before we dive into the abyss that is the CS: GO Source 2 conspiracy, let's talk about the game engine, Source 2, itself. Source 2 is a project that Valve started working on 15 years ago. It was planned to be the successor to the original Source engine. The reason why this was decided on is because the then-current engine had too much outdated and non-revised code, and new technologies were simply so difficult to implement. As a result, they made their decision on revising the core components of the engine, so that it would be easier and more fluid to develop and integrate new technologies. In 2010, the first tech demo for the aforementioned engine was created by remaking a map from one of their other games, Left 4 Dead 2. Later on, they also implemented support for Vulkan (a high-performance rendering engine) for efficient rendering of the complex models and textures. The first game to be ported over to the engine was to be Dota 2. In June 2015, Valve announced that the entirety of Dota 2 would be ported over to Source 2 in an update called Dota 2 Reborn. Now, people are talking about the game CS: GO being ported over as well. There haven't been any announcements made whatsoever, but the conspiracy club is real and existent. Leakers (people that gather information from unknown sources and release it into the public) have countlessly reported that the engine would be ported over some other year, month or day, but no official information has reached the public's opinion yet.
