Recently, humans are facing a range of serious issues due to many relevant elements. One of the most instant issues now is the lack of water for drinking, washing and other household uses. So, what did the reasons lead to water shortage and what should we do to tackle this issue? In this essay, I will explain it in detail and then try to suggest some solutions. Let's start with the first contributor is water pollution. In recent years, modern industry has more and more developed and many plants and factories also have been installed. Their wastewater is the root cause leading to contaminated water source. Besides that, using pesticides in agriculture and wastewater from domestic activities are also significant reasons. Dealing with this issue involves testing compulsorily concentration of heavy metals, toxic substances in industrial plants' wastewater before releasing them into the rivers. In addition, government should punish if concentrations pass permissible limit. Another main reason is the desertification phenomenon. Climate change along with global warming causes that some regions have year -round drought, no rain in long time and water vapor rises. This led to creation of rough, dry land areas and turned to desert gradually. In addition, uncontrollable deforestation led to eroded soil and loss of the ability to hold clean water in the ground. To tackle this issue, the government should control more tightly forest exploitation and propose some policies to prevent the development of climate change and global warming. For instance, proposing policies to reduce smoke vehicles or encourage people to use renewable resources. A third significant factor is the need and wasting. People tend to open the faucet at maximum for all activities and sometimes they can forget to lock them. Besides, the population growth rate has sped up day by day, so the consumption of water has also increased. I can imagine that if 7 billion people still waste water as they used to, the lack of water will come soon. This problem could be addressed by launching a campaign to educate people to save clean water and learn how to reuse them. In conclusion, despite the fact that lacking of water is a serious issue, but undoubtedly it can be prevented and will go toward better. In my opinion, the government and awareness of citizens are factors contributing to deal this issue.
