Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I will be unable to join the job over the summer due to unavoidable circumstances as mentioned below. I have always dreamt of working for this position ever since childhood. Working as locomotive pilot has always been my dream. Knowing that I won't be able to join the same is disheartening for me.
I have been tested positive for COVID - 19 today, doctor has advised me to stay indoors for at least 15days as per standard protocol. My sincere apologies for not able to make it for the job. I know this would create an inconvenience for you as well, considering I am backing out at the last moment. Request you to kindly consider my request for the same.
However, I would be interested in the position next summer. I would be glad if you reconsider me for the next batch.
Thank you for considering my request and sincere apologies for last minute withdrawal. Hoping for a positive revert from your end.
