My battle with dyslexia was an experience that changed my life forever. I remember feeling dumb as a child, incapable and unworthy of love. I felt like I was a small fish in the vast ocean, full of the many obstacles of life. Dyslexia had taken over my life, it has affected my self-esteem and school performance. Those days were perhaps some of the most challenging days.
However, I was able to stride to victory with my perseverance and my parents’ constant support. From wiping my tears, after getting poor grades on my test to the uncountable number of pep talks, they were my biggest supporters. They not only played a vital role in helping me reach the finish line but also helped me find myself again.
I would have never been able to accomplish what I have today if it wasn’t for my parents. Fortunately, I had people support me through this strenuous journey. However, there are numerous people who are struggling to lead a satisfying lifestyle, constantly dealing with poor mental health. Dyslexia has taught me some essential life lessons but most importantly It has taught me how crucial it is to help people.
