It is generally believed that the internet is an excellent means of communication but some people suggest that it it may not be the best place to find information. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Nowadays, one of the best ways to keep ourselves informed is the internet. Some people believe that this tool is undoubteadly important for this mean, while others think that it is not as reliable as it may appear. In the following lines I shall discuss both points of view and give my opinion. On the one hand, the internet is the place where all the information is published, here we can find a wide variety of resources, such as newspapers, books or scientific articles, which enable us to learn about almost any subject. Furthermore, with the irruption of digital platforms like Youtube, we can attend to lectures that are taught all over the world. On the other hand, some people suggest that this sources might not uphold such value, on the grounds that there is no control on the information which is uploaded to these websites. Additionally, these last years we have witnessed the emergence of social movements whose motifs imply the creation of damage in our society by controlling how the citizens are informed, for instance, by the elaboration of fake news. To sum up, there are valid arguments which support both ways of thinking. Nevertheless, I shall say that I find myself more represented by the former. To my mind, there is no question about the existence of unreliable information on the internet, however, I feel that it is greater the number of sources which conserve a great value. Based upon my own experience, I could not have learnt as I have done in my degree without the enormous amount of scientific articles and magazines which can be found on the internet.
