VIETNAM’S POLITICAL LANDSCAPE AND BILATERAL RELATIONSHIP WITH SINGAPORE LYRap
Following on from the topics of culture, technology, and economics, politics is a crucial element to completing the whole picture and finding out about Vietnam. During webinar 4 on July 22, 2022, AVES students got the chance to study Vietnamese politics as well as the current and future bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Singapore.
With the experience of working at the Embassy of Vietnam in Singapore, Ms. Thai Thu Phuong allowed Vietnamese students to reconstruct their knowledge of their country's political landscape, and political organization. Through that, Singapore students can learn briefly about the landscape and the political institutions. Furthermore, understanding the differences between the two countries, Vietnam and Singapore.
The speaker's sharing astounded the AVES students. They were particularly interested in the counselor's perspective on Vietnam-Singapore collaboration. As a result, the more developed a society is, the more crucial the links and collaboration with other nations across the world since it is the foundation for developing steady global growth.
Focusing on the topic, the speaker shared information about the cooperation and building the relationship between Vietnam and Singapore in 3 areas. Politics, economy, and cultural prospects between two countries. In terms of politics, Vietnam and Singapore have developed their diplomatic relations since 1973 and strategic partnership relations since 2013. In terms of the economy, Singapore is Vietnam’s 3rd largest investment partner and 12th largest trade partner. As a country with great potential, Vietnam is aiming to become a developed country in 2045 with the mutual assistance of FDI, consultancies, education - training - innovation.
At AVES, students can understand and communicate with one another during each topic, which broadens their minds and heightens the spirits of the region's youth. They may observe one another's personalities on the topic of culture; in the subject of economics, they learn about the growing potential; and in the subject of politics, they learn about the landscape. When their time at AVES comes to a close, a new journey begins.
