Various people feel governments ought to use money to look for life on planets. In contrast, others believe that there are still many unsolved problems on Earth that need to oir time and capital. DrW
Nowadays, people are still facing with differnet unsolved problems such as, pollution, hunger and serious disease on Earth. Most people think that, we should spend much money to find out another planets which is available to live in there, instead of using money to solve problems. I do not totally agree with this opinion and I will discuss both views in my following essay. To begin with, there are some benefits of exploring other planets. Firstly, we can gain more information about secrets and history of the universe. Currently, most of people are educated theories as to how the universe was created. If we know more information about ancient history, it may tell us where we came from and what the future might look like. Secondly, space exploration gives us hope for the future. One day our planet will become unlivable because of our mistreatment of it or because our sun might explode. This catastrophe could mean the end of humankind and that makes people to worry and feel uncomfortable. That is the reason why, I think people should spend the money to find other livable planet. On the other hand, people should try to focus on unsolved problems of Earth. Moreover, as the number of population is increasing day by day, it would bring some problems as well like a hunger. This is the lost significant unsolved problem on Earth and food supply is inadequate to feed the whole population. In addition, there have been discovered hundreds of new plants and animals every year. These discoveries, especially rare plants, could lead to new medicines that may cure some of the most dangerous and serious diseases. For example, coronavirus was spread in 2019 from China. But still, scientists could not find right vaccine for this disease. To conclude, both this views are are often argued by people. Also, these have beneficial sides for us. But, in my point of view, if scientists try to solve this problems, they do not need to explore other planets. Because, it takes a long time, and we will just waste our time.
