Overall. It can be seen that there was an increase in the amount of money invested in health, space, energy, and general science; while money spent on other projects saw a slight decline.
From 1980 to 1984, the amount of money spent on healthheath slightly decreased to 7 billion dollars. Then, over a period of 20 years, expenditure on health significantly rose and reached a peak in 2004, atwith 22, 5 billion dollars. In 2008, spending on health decreased minimally to 18 billion dollars. Besides registering at about 3 billions dollar in 1980, the national budget spent on science projects saw a moderate rise to 5 billions dollar in 2000 before stabilizing till the end of the period.
Over a period of 28 years, the amount of money spent on energy and space increased unremarkably from 5 billion dollars and 6 billions dollar to 7, 5 billions dollar ang 9 billion dollars respectively. During the same period, the national budget spent on other projects fluctuated from 7 billions dollar in 1980 to 5 billions dollar in 2008.
