Some people believe that children nowadays have too much freedom. Others believe that children are protected too much by their parents. Which of these statements do you agree with? Use specific reasons and examples to support your decision.

Lots of people nowadays assume that children are over-protected by their parents. However, I, personally, disagree with that statement. Here are some reasons why I assert that. First of all, the world we are living in now is completely different from what it was even 30 years ago. Due to that elderly people can claim totally opposite of what many adolescents can suppose. So as a minor I can say that parents actually give more freedom to their children at the present. Teenagers have the opportunity to select the field of future studies, have become more independent. What's more, they can use their finances on their own. In my opinion that confidence comes from childhood. I believe in the fact that upbringing has a massive impact on people's lives. Children who were born in any family where every word of a child was heard, where parents were lenient and responsible, become entirely different people. On the other hand kids who were raised by a strict family grow into rebellious juveniles. As an example I would like to present myself. My parents are really great, they nurtured me as a self-reliant person. They never forbade me, for instance, dying my hair. They support my decisions. On the contrary, a friend of mine was brought up by, if it's possible to say like that, harsh people. They don't permit her almost anything for the reason that they don't trust her. Considering these two examples, I feel that being raised by people who give their children more freedom can lead to a life without any complexes. Some parents who are less strict with the way they raise their child can even go so far as to let minors decide almost everything affecting their lives, from choosing what to eat to selecting their future job. As we can see children are treated like adults. Through years our life became more dangerous because of the development of the world. Considering that, parents are worried about their children more. Children learn how to use smartphone from early ages. They narrow their world to the social media. In conclusion, Iwould like to say that teenagers, indeed, are free of some restrictions. Nevertheless, they have to handle other issues, related to the modern times.
