Education plays a pivotal role in the development of a country. However, where should a government spend its money on education is an important problem. Personally, I think funding the education of universities should be put at the first position. I will explore my reasons in the following essay. Firstly, college students will be the main force in the future after only a few years. Many students in universities will enter the workforce immediately after they graduate. They will engage themselves to promote the development of a country, so the government should spend money to improve their learning environment. For example, the money can be utilized to hire more intelligent experts as professors who will instill many pieces of their invaluable knowledge to students. Also, improving learning tools that students take advantage of, such as buying lots of new and fast computers and building various labs. Students who enjoy high-level education in a better environment will lead a country to make greater progress. By contrast, if the government decides to spend money on the education of young children, the result will even take many years to emerge. In order to see a significant outcome quickly, funding the education of universities is a shrewd decision that a government should make. Secondly, the benefits brought by funding the education of universities will facilitate developments in many aspects of a country. College students can help the government save a lot of money. For example, the government can cooperate with universities to complete many research and development works. In the part of technological advances, developing a novel technology always needs a lot of money because hiring professional and skilled engineers is expensive. In this situation, hiring eminent college students seem advisable. Moreover, by dispatching some college students who major in education to do some internships, they also can be eligible teachers in the education of young children. Therefore, the government should spend money on the education of universities, stimulating more possibilities for the country's development. Undeniably, some people might still claim that a government should spend its money on the education of very young children because they will be leaders in the future to help the country make a giant leap. Of course, I agree with this idea, but I think the government needs prudent consideration when they are deciding on the priority of funding education. As I mentioned in the article, funding the education of universities is a sagacious choice. By doing so, the country will take less time to be stronger. After that, funding another aspect will be easy, for example, spending money on the education of young children. Accordingly, only through investing the education of universities in the first place will a country gain more profits in a short period of time.
