Dear Dave, I hope this email finds you in good health. I am sorry for not getting back to you with my arrival details for our planned road trip to Al Ain. The reason behind this is that yesterday I received an email from my University that few Multi-national Companies will be visiting our campus for placements during the summer break. The Dean informed the placements will take place from 1st to the 25th of July and will be mandatory for all final year students to attend. These placements are crucial for my career and will boost my self confidence which I desperately need now during my study holidays. I apologize and can understand how upset you will be right now, given that we had the entire itinerary planned out. To cheer you up, I took the liberty of booking us a 5 day staycation at Paris on the 1st of August. I know you have been meaning to take a foreign tour for a while now. I hope you are excited as I am and already thinking about shopping. I will email all further details regarding our trip in the following email. Give my regards to Uncle John, Aunt Mavie and your sister Joyce. See you soon, Love, Julie
