A number of high schools require all students to wear school uniforms. Other high schools, on the other hand, allow students to make up their minds what to wear and tear to school. In my point of view, both of them have their pros and cons, but I prefer wearing school uniforms to deciding their own styles for three reasons. Above all, promoting student safety is the first advantage that I want to mention. Pupils can be equal with each other instead of being threatened or even abused by their classmates. For instance, the distinction between the rich and poor is one of the most serious problems causing school violence among each student. Secondly, Vietnamese students currently tend to pay more attention to their appearances when going to school than studying. Maybe they want to keep up with fashion trends. Therefore, wearing school uniforms can help them concentrate on school lectures. Eventually, wearing uniforms ascends the collectivism, strengthens the cooperation in students. As far as I know, soldiers always wear military uniforms to show solidarity among the members. Or the office workers put on uniforms so that everyone can easily identify where they do. In conclusion, each policy has various advantages and disadvantages. On the contrary, I still keep my personal opinion that school should make students gown uniforms in place of freely choosing.
