Today the media portrays young people as lazy and disrespectful. Do you think this is true. Are young people today worse than their parents, or does every new generation get criticized by older people?

Media has a widespread approach around the globe. And, today the hot topic of almost every news channel is youth, who they representing as lazy and disrespectful individuals. In my opinion it is untrue, and I will discuss how the new generation is compared and criticized by either their parents or by elder people. Lifestyles are different in every time span. Younger generations have different goals and life values to achieve. So, they might have different approach to achieve their goals and peace compared to their parents, which is the unfortunately never accepted by society. For example, older generations tend to stick same process as everyone else as marriage, house, and children. But now youth want to discover themselves and focus on their happiness before getting into commitments. Thus, older people think of them irresponsible individuals. Young immigrants are displayed as a shame to society by media. Younger generations are hardworking and respectfully aware of work/life balance. Moreover, it is rude to judge new approaches to traditional ones as time always made a significant change in everything. Older generations comparing themselves to younger ones is also a social media trend. For instance, Millennials vs Gen Z is really a hot topic on TikTok. However, Young generations are easily influenced by social media. It is necessary to help young people, so that, they can choose a right direction in life. To conclude, I think every generation have contrasting prospective of life. Youth identify mistakes in past and they are adamant to find better ways. Boomers should help young people with their experience and knowledge instead of criticizing them.
