There seems to be an increasing number of serious crimes committed each year. While some think the best way is to use the death penalty as a deterrent, many peopl believe that other measures will be needed. Discuss both sides and give your opinion

In every year serious crime’s rate is rapidly increasing, which is making individuals life unsafe and challenging. Individuals have two different opinions regarding punishment for the serious crime one is death penalty and other measures such as rehabilitation and incapacitation, deterrence. In my opinion, punishment should base on what degree of crime and how many time and what kind of crime offender did. To begin with, the opinion about why capital punishment is important part of judicial system to reduce the serious crime. They believe that to stop the serious crime use the capital punishment so the offender wouldn’t get to do the similar or same kind of crime again. In India due to the capital punishment serious crime declined up to 10 %, offenders are scared to commit the serious crime because they don’t have another chance. Moreover, capital punishment is one strict way to reduce the crime, but it is unhuman. On the other hand, some individuals are in favour of other measures to control the serious crimes such as rehabilitation, incapacitation, and deterrence. There are number of measures legal authorities to punish the offender. In most of the country if Juvenile commit any serious crime, law authorities is sending them for rehabilitation centre to reform them. Capital punishment is not allowing the second chance to reform the offenders and sometimes, an innocent can be get punished if he doesn’t have proof or witnesses. From my perspective, I believe that Capital punishment is unhuman but it’s depend on how serious is the crime and Judge had to order that punishment to eliminate the serious crime. However, there are other measures involved to stop the crime which is also helping offender to reform and be a good human being. In the of the aforementioned, it is my belief that capital punishment and and other kind of measure for instance, rehabilitation, incapacitation is helping to reduce the serious crime rate. In my opinion, offender is a human being so he should get one chance to reform but if offender is committing the serious crime again then legal authorities should not provide the chance of rehabilitation.
