Every individual has the right to be educated in order to survive and compete in this modern world. It is quite unfortunate that there is a huge dichotomy in our education system as all the perks and privileges are reserved for students with higher grades. On the other hand, there is a marks barrier for those whose academic grades are not up to the mark and resultantly they cannot get admitted to universities to commence their studies. In my opinion, all students should get admission to universities without any prejudice as far as academic marks are concerned. There are some reasons why higher education for all is compulsory. Every pupil has the right to get admission regardless of their marks in order to pave the way for their future endeavors. In this way can plan and dream of their careers. For example, due to the high demand for jobs in multiple disciplines sometimes merit goes down. I can open the doors for all low achievers who completed their education despite having low grades. Another reason might be a sense of deprivation as such pupils who could not commence their academics might get an inferiority complex which can lead to hazardous results such as indulging in unethical or other illegal acts. There are numerous examples in our society that illustrates that educated people were found criminal offenses because of self-deprivation. To sum up, there should be a set of merits in order to maintain the decorum and prestige of any institution but the need of the hour is to ponder how to accommodate those pupils who are willing to continue their studies for their survival and complete in this modern era. It is pertinent to review the admission policy and lower-grade students should be entertained accordingly.
