In many countries around the world it is common for families to run their own business. some people think that keeping the business within the family is the best approach while other believe this could lead to problems. What is your opinion?

Nobody can deny that owning and running a business is important for families, especially in cases where the business is the breadwinner for the family as it is common in many countries. However, in order for the business to grow further, it requires more effort beyond family members. On the one hand, it may appear advisable for businesses to have secret recipes and establish a sustainable journey by having family members involved in the business. This allows children to learn the knowledge from parents so that they are able to continue the business when parents are retired or passed away. Furthermore, performing business with families should help them to make a life or even better to lift them up from joblessness due to economic instability. On the other hand, we have to ask whether this is a practical proposition. Working with families may in fact share some of the tendencies of people they grew up with. For example, in the case of my friend's business, his older brother asks for a higher salary than the younger ones although his work and responsibilities are lesser. Finally, in the modern era where technology helps us to connect without boundaries, it is inevitable that business requires growth. And for that reason, bringing others to join the force would help business to transcend. A good example for this is when the business needs to open branches in several cities, they need local partners to expand the business in designated areas. Overall, it seems to me that working with families is not absolutely essential to maintain the business, which needs to widen and be sustainable. Indeed, my personal opinion would be the risks of operating with family outweigh the benefits, because of danger in the conflict of interest and difficulty to broaden the business.
