The given map illustrates the transformation of Meadowside village and its neighboring town, Fonton, since 1962. From an overall perspective, both villages have gone through significant changes during the period. At first, the Meadowside started as a small separated village, then expanded and connected to Fonton. Finally, the village ended up being a part of the Fonton town. It can be seen that in 1962, the Meadowside was not very developed with only a small road crossing the village. The transformation may have taken place after that time, and in 1985, there were many new facilities in the extended village. In terms of accommodation, there was a new housing estate and a leisure complex. In addition to that, there was a new super-store, which is placed on the opposite side of the main road. Apart from the widened old road, there was also a new one connecting Meadowside to the Fonton town. Since 1985 until now, there have been a lot of changes in the area. The Meadowside is no longer a village, it is now a part of the Fonton town. The is a new accommodation - a new hotel situated in the new area. In terms of transport, there is a new station and a railway running from Fonton to Meadowside suburbs. And last but not least, there is a business park opposite the station, which can be directly accessed when driving on the new road.
