When governments set up programs with noble intentions, all for the public good, and the betterment of humanity, they end up just lashing out funds from the public treasury to support corrupt “fake” research - guaranteed to never discover anything, or save a single soul for suffering. Not just disease, but programs to end hunger, speed travel, or any other thing politicians can think of. Better arranged by men who want to achieve something, who are best funded by those with private means, who can be persuaded to provide financial backing.
