The line graph illustrates how much time spent on five different activities by old people in the United states from 1980 to 2010.
Overall, reading, hiking, watching tv and surfing the Internet noticed an upward trend, while the downward trend was observed in the popularity of theater throught the period.
To begin with theater, the elderly proportion was 50 in the beginning year and then it plummeted to 30 in 1990 before increasing moderately to 45 in 2010 and which was the lowest popular among all activities. In contrast, with regard to hiking, there was an four fold increase was experienced between 1980 to 2010, reaching the peak of 80.
In case of surfing the internet, the percentage of old people soared till the year 2010, amounting to 50. Turning to reading, the proportion of elderly people rose dramatically to double of its initial value which was 30 in 1980. with reference to remaining activity, the period between 1980 and 2010 witnessed a growth of 5 percentage.
