THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HIGH SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY

THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HIGH SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY a2OWo
Many students will face new and exciting challenges after graduating from high school and entering a new learning environment at university. The way we study and teach, the relationships around us, and how we manage our time are some of the most apparent differences between these two environments. The most evident difference between these two environments is that students studying at university will be more autonomous. In high school, most students learn primarily by listening to lectures in class and then doing exercises. When students are at university, however, most of the lectures, textbooks, or exercises are provided by teachers very early, so they can thoroughly study and learn themselves even before entering the lecture hall. Lessons at university are also primarily discussions and exchanges of knowledge from the previous curriculum, saving time while providing students with a deeper understanding of the academic knowledge. The problem of surrounding relationships is one of the issues that many students are interested in. In high school, students are assigned to a fixed class and frequently study together throughout their school years, making it easy to form long-lasting relationships. However, this becomes more difficult when they enter the university because it is a large environment with many friends from various professions and places to study. Finding faithful companions will also become more challenging as a result of a variety of other factors. Finally, the difference between these two levels is how they manage and allocate their time. We gain many advantages when students do not have to worry about managing their classes in high school. Furthermore, the school ultimately manages the arrangement of teachers, classes, subjects, and timetables. In contrast, a university is where they must significantly improve their time management and allocation skills. Students are entirely responsible for registering for their subjects and classes. Some students must balance part-time work and schoolwork in addition to studying. The above analysis shows some noticeable differences between the two environments. These environmental variations also aid in encouraging pupils' adaptability. However, in general, no matter their environment, they still need to learn, have self-control, and constantly improve themselves to have a better future.
