My name is Yin Myo Thant but this is the name after I was born. Before I wasn’t born yet I’ve got the name because of the family members who want baby boy. Mom told me that my second elder sister wants to me be a boy every time she touches mom tummy and saying “Mg Mg Lay” even though Mom also wish too. So, my nickname becomes “Mg Mg”.
This is not a trendy name for a girl in Myanmar. In Burmese, that’s mean so random boy name. When I was young I didn’t notice that is not a usual one. I was just using myself “Mg” as I had habitual. People keeps asking me how my nickname was become. Now I’m grow up a lot and heard a lot about the name I’ve got is very unusual. I guess that’s fit me well.
