The bar chart combined with the pie chart illustrate the figure for university students in UK and the line graph gives information about the government expenditure on each college students from 1997 to 2001. It is apparent that the number of students studying university followed an upward trend while the government spending on them had an opposite tendency over 4 years. In 2001, there was a significant difference in the income gap of families background. The quantity of juniors increased considerably from 1. 2 million in 1997 to 1. 9 million in 2000 in which it shirked to 1. 8 million in 2001. In contrast, the government spending on each university student witnessed a dramatic decrease of 480 euros over 3 years. Later, the financial expenditure remained unchange during the period shown. In 2001, students coming from high income families made up 60% of the total, followed by the rate of medium salary families with 28% less. Meanwhile, the lowest figure belonged to students in low income household with 8%.
