People generally know that the environment is important. However, most individuals still don't take responsibility to protect the environment. Why is this? What should be done to encourage people to protect the environment?

Almost every person knows that it is imperative for us to protect the environment, whereas someone still doesn’t take part in the protection of our surroundings. In my opinion, this is due to our family, society and government. And we can take some measures along these aspects. One of the main reasons of the nation are not glad to take responsibility for protecting the environment comes from every family and our society. This is because most of parents don't persuade their children enough to improve our environment. If everyone was taught how crucial it about preserve our environment when we are young, almost everyone will take responsibility to promote our surroundings. Apart from that, there are also some issues in ours. Some social media or communities just innovate to protect, but almost do nothing realistic things about improving people's motivation of protecting the environment. Another reason is blame to the government. This is due to some effective measures that have not been taken to punish individuals who destroy our surroundings, for some people, only laws can control their behaviours. Although they acknowledge some theories about preserving the environment, they are not forced to do, which means they think it is none of their business. So, some measures should be taken in family, society and government separately. Firstly, in the family, parents should teach their children some effective methods to preserve their surroundings, such as choosing the right types when dropping some rubbish, don't pick up some plants and walking or riding to school instead of driving. Next, for society, some social media could spread and share some results, that what would happen if our environment gets worse. Some communities can also hold some conferences and set some plans on what they are supposed to do. Finally, I reckon it is imperative for the government to set some laws about the damaging environment, and employ more police officers in order to constrain and punish individuals manners. In conclusion, we can take some approaches to our family, society and government respectively. Furthermore, people will gradually take responsibility to protect the environment.
