The maps illustrate the development that has taken place at West Park Secondary School since 1950. Overall, the maximum amount of change occurred to the left part of the school building during the years 1950, 1980, and 2010. Firstly, in 1950 there were houses and farmland adjacent to West Park and they were demolished in year 1980. A new science block had been constructed just connected to the secondary school and a car parking was added just beside the science building. The farmland is converted into a Sports field which is connected to the playground. In 2010, the car park adjacent to the science block was expanded into the whole sports field. The playground got shortened in size as the sports field is fitted in one fourth size of the perivous playground.
