As humans, we always come across certain people, who just seem to be naturally good at a particular thing, be it sports, academics, mathematics, dancing, etc. We tend to believe that they were just born with those abilities, which makes them a tad bit different from everyone else. I beg to differ. I believe it depends on the person's individuality and their focus in life.
In today’s day and age, we have so many real-life role models that make us think that some people are indeed born with talent. Let’s take a look at a world-renowned prodigy, Bharath Subramanyam, a 14-year-old chess player who recently defeated the world chess champion, Magnus Carlson, who reigned the championship for the last 6 years. It certainly sounds impossible for a young teenager to defeat a chess world champion because it just seems tough to be able to practice so much to be just so good at the game, however, it’s easier said than done. I believe that although no one is born with certain special talents, it primarily boils down to the parents’ genetics and the Child's upbringing.
The fundamentals seem to be pretty straightforward forward in my opinion. Although some people are born with greater potential than others due to various reasons, it doesn’t mean that there are individuals who are born with special talents. All that is required is to have dedication and immense hard work towards a particular activity from a young age that makes them so good and flawless in their work.
