The vast majority of children need someone to take care of them since the rate of working parents has increased exponentially recently. It is often argued that childcare centres are the most logical option for children, while others disagree and think relatives of children can offer the best conditions for children. In this essay, I will look at both sides of the argument and present my opinion in the favor of the first one. On the one hand, childcare services offer a plethora number of facilities that are beneficial for children. For instance, these centres provide specifically designed classes that appealed to children interests such as art, music or sports classes. Moreover, spending time with their peers is also one of the helpful aspects since children have a great opportunity to have several friends. Thus, this option contributes to the development of social, cognitive and communication skills of children. On the other hand, it is certainly true that family members provide a more lovely, peaceful and happy place to children. Children emotionally feel more intimate with their relatives compared to childcare services. To illustrate, childcare services have some rules that must be followed by children, yet they do not have to obey such rules when they stay with their grandparents. Apart from that, some argue that it would unhealthy for children to a school-like center for children an early age. Hence, they would be more comfortable and free when they stay with their relatives. In conclusion, having considered both sides of the issue, I would argue that leaving the children with family members outweigh childcare centres even though they cannot offer various advantageous services. I believe that mental health is the most important part of the growing of a child and no center can offer a lovely place as much as relatives of children.
