Global warming is one of the most serious issues that the world is facing today. What are the causes of global warming and what measures can governments and individuals take to tackle the issue?

Currently, the main paramount problem the Earth encounters is Global warming. The mandate is upon us as individuals and the governments of nations to find out its roots and find effective solutions to combat this. First of all, global warming occurs as a result of the rise of temperatures in the atmosphere surrounding the Earth. Carbon dioxide and other harmful gases present in the air, tend to trap heat rays from the sun combined with the enormous combustion of fossil fuels. Which all release heat energy and dangerous chemical compounds that contribute to the aggregate accumulation of heat around the world. Moreover, with the indiscriminate felling of trees or the large loss of plant life ranging from the Amazon rainforests, California and Australia wildfires. Consequently, carbon dioxide levels will increase. This is due to the fact that carbon dioxide is used by trees and they in turn give out oxygen which humans breath. Our natural recyclers are dwindling in number and this causes the presence of carbon dioxide to surge up. On the other hand, if strict regulations are put in place on the toxic emissions of industries by governments it will go a long way to reduce air pollution of dangerous gases. I would also recommend that large incentives and initiatives on afforestation and tree planting exercises should be rolled out to encourage huge masses to partake in these activities. Also much education should be done to continue to raise awareness on the various human activities that bring about global warming and persuade people to to desist. All in all, global warming is an universal matter that should not be taken lightly by world leaders and the masses. Rather, hand in hand we should join and fight this together.
