People`s choices have changed over the years, as now they prefer to work with big companies as compared to the past when individuals work with small companies. The advantages of working for mega companies such as big salary and high reputation outweighs its disadvantages which will be discusses in the forthcoming paragraphs. Working with a multi-national company serves a lot of benefits and the major one is big salary. Adults have a better income in it rather than in a small company. Moreover, they provide some facilities such as transportation and health insurance. For instance, a person who works in large firm earns a great amount of money with special bonuses on some occasions whereas in small business, they do not provide such kinds of facilities. Another advantage might be that individual have a high reputation in a society. Meaning that they are considered as a high status in their communities and everyone respect. Turning to the possible disadvantages, an obvious would be that people have to work hard and had to do a lot of work within a time limit which may result in bad health and weak the bonding with a family, as they spend most of their time in the office. For example, the survey held by 'Times of India' stated that a worker in the big firm have to work for 9-10 hours so they do not have enough time for their families. Furthermore, in small companies, the chances of a person`s promotion is much higher as compared with large companies. In addition to it, people also have a fear of loosing a job. Therefore, many youngster want to employed in small firm. In conclusion, although there are some demerits for working in multi-national companies such as overworked and low chances of promotion, the merits of it overweighs its disadvantages.
