Art is a debatable hot topic whether it should be financed by governments or not. It is often argued that although some nations think that creative artists such as painters and musicians should be financed by authorities, others claim that those should make their own money by themselves like to sell their own art of pieces or should be funded by Non-governmental organizations. This essay will elaborate both views. In my own view, I believe that valuable artists should always be granted by nations. On one hand, art plays a pivotal role in a society which should support creative artists such as painters and musicians. Art promotes harmony in society. First and foremost, there are valuable painters and musicians in a country who should be ensured to pursue their life without any economical worries. For example, if any artist has any concerns about their basic needs like accommodations, they might not have time and energy to create their own work. According to a study report, musicians who had an economical burden on them, were not able to make any valuable work comparing to those who were supported financially by the government. Therefore, creative artists should be granted no pressure of finances. On the other hand, some people argue that there should be alternative sources such as their own earnings and NGOs to support themselves. Firstly, creative artists are already able to make some money out of their work which will benefit them to carry on their life. Secondly, numerous NGOS who volunterily support those artists. For instance, one of NGOS called Creative artists foundation, their main goal is to reach those artists who are in the top of their creativity, they have separate funding programs and campaigns for those creative artists. In conlusion, while some people think that creative artists should be subsidized by governments, others believe those should be supported by other alternative sources. I think authorities can handle these issues by supporting those creative artists.
