Some people think news has no connection to people's lives, so it is a waste of time to read news in the newspaper and watch news programs in television. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Despite the fast-paced world with colossal amounts of inventions in the blink of an eye, an increasing number of people are not interested in reading or watching news anymore. They claim that the lack of relation of them with their daily lives is the major reason behind this. In my opinion, I am not convinced by their assertion as I genuinely believe the essence of up-to-the-minute information. In countless ways, the media outlets have influenced our decision making processes and implementation of projects. Changes in macroenvironment, albeit nuanced, can affect our nations' economic and political sectors which, in turn, have an impact in individuals: beneficial or detrimental. Such kinds of adaptions can be realized only by watching the reports on TV. Thus, we cannot be ignorant of published news as they are worthy and precious. Moreover, the data presented from broadcasting stations plays a vital role in helping people of all ages to keep abreast of time and to acquire knowledge, and insights. The release of COVID outbreak news, a good example here, was advantageous for the humankind as citizens across the globe could take early protective measures saving millions of people. Besides, human beings can procure priceless insights and learn unprecedented incidences via news media: newspaper, TV, radio, webpages and so on. In contrast, several people have different perspectives that worldwide or local news are not concerned with them, so reading them is merely a waste of time. To some extent, the statement is justifiable, but when we look at a bigger picture, publishing has both direct and indirect dominance to us. To sum up, even though some information available might not be pertaining to us, I am still convinced that they are indispensable for us. Since profound knowledge can be obtained and unexpected catastrophes can be forestalled by watching news, I assume they are paramount.
