Some people say that in all levels of education, from primary schools to universities, too much time is spent on learning facts and not enough on learning practical skills. Do you agree or disagree? A section of society believes that in schools and colleges, a big amount of time is given to teach stories and lessons therefore less efforts are done to teach practical work or exercises. This essay agrees with the statement because learning things practically is more efficient way to improve knowledge as well as can preserve facts in memory for long time as compared to time spent on learning facts. Education level is downgrading by the time now a days. Both teachers and students are becoming sedentary day by day. They do not show interest in doing things practically because they think that this will take more time to complete the task. On the other hand, they more tend to teach and learn the stories which is really very hard to sustain in memory for a long time for a learner and less effective in increasing the knowledge. According to a study, things which has done practically can be reminds 10 times as compared to learn the facts. Furthermore, more time spent on learning facts, doesn’t add that much value. Learner can not do lot of argument during discussion on any specific topics. Whereas a person who has invested time in doing the things with examples and practise may lead in every field. This is true that knowing facts will always give benefits but practical knowledge of any thing gives 10 times more benefits always. According to a survey, Manufacturing companies always prefers a candidate having good practical exposure in the required field. Same applies to other companies as well. To recapitulate, learning things with practical thing always gives advantages to learner’s capability.
