Some people say that art subjects such as music, drama and creative writing are an essential part of education and every school should include them in its syllabus. Do you agree or disagree with this statement. Give you opinion and examples from your own experience.

It is often opined that every school should incorporate certain specific courses such as music, drama and creative writing in their curriculum since they are considered as a crucial part of the study. I completely agree with this notion. The upcoming paragraphs justify my stand with relevant arguments and supported with suitable examples. The initial argument in support of my belief is that involving such courses in education helps the student to recharge themselves and enables them to perform well in their academics. This is because; the pupils are usually bored with the regular courses which they study. In addition, they might lose interest in the main subjects over a period of time which results in securing lower grades. Therefore, if art related topics are introduced, they may get some time to rejuvenate themselves so that they will feel even more active in the regular classes. To illustrate, it has been noticed that the students had shown more involvement and performed better in main subjects after attending sessions on drama. Thus, including lessons related to art not only helps the student to stay active, but also helps to excel in regular study. Another crucial argument in favour of my belief is that such subjects help the student in rediscovering any extra talents he possess besides his education. This is because, every person cannot identify his strengths of his own and if such classes related to art are introduced in the modules, he can have a chance to introspect himself and can work for any improvements in a particular area if required. For example, it has been shown that incorporating music and drama classes in curriculum have helped a plethora of students in various parts of the world in identifying their inherent strengths which made them choose a career in music and drama. Thus, art related lessons help the pupil in knowing their talents and make a decision on future plans of their career. To reiterate my opinion, courses involving arts not help the students to improve in the academics, but also helps in noticing any hidden capabilities that were not brought to focus from a long period
