In my opinion, although I agree with this view, I firmly believe that the media has its own benefits. On the one hand, the media brings a lot of conveniences to people's lives. Firstly, the media can convey information or news quickly to people. In the period that everyone uses social networks and it’s easy to own TVs, the transmission of information through those media platforms is very fast, convenient and basic. For example, When the Covid-19 pandemic boomed in China and showed signs of spreading to many countries, the media all over the world immediately conveyed information to the people, helping people to keep abreast of the situation and prepare for the long-term battle with the virus. Secondly, with its own popularity, the media nowadays is a wonderful place for new brands, startups to advertise and have more customers. On the other hand, The harms of the media also cannot be underestimated. The truth of news and the quality of products are not guaranteed. As I mentioned, there are too many platforms in the media, so it is impossible to control the authenticity of the information. Furthermore, there are many shops that use social media to trick others into selling low-quality products. For example, in recent years, there is a lot of fake news about kpop idols and that even leads to unfortunate events.
