It is widely accepted that, equality of opportunities are crucial to ensure the social development. A group of people claim that male and female candidates should be considered with equal preference for defense and police jobs while few others argue that they are not fit for such kind of challenging roles. This essay will not only deliberate both of these view point but also my opinion in this matter.
Initiating with the view point in which people claim that, while equalizing the chances it can eradicate the social issues such as gender discrimination and able to enhance women empowerment which is vital in the economic sustainability of a nation. Along with that, it will improve the social security as the ladies can open up their difficulties with the officers, if they are belongs to same sex and since they have the authority of crime management, others might afraid to perform any injustice against them. For example, the female police officers can deal with girls and women in a polite way far better than that of men, so that they will be comfortable and confident and hence will approach them if any issues happened in future also.
On the paradoxical, women have several limitations by birth as they are treated physically weaker than men along with their emotional imbalances. First tenable etiology, it would be relatively easier to influence their decisions by sentimental approaches and at the same time they are lacking effectiveness in circumstances requiring physical labor. For instances, men have greater efficiency while dealing with notorious people and adverse situations like natural calamities or explosion.
In light of the above arguments, I believe that it is mandatory to provide equal relevance to all instead of their gender while choosing for law and order related professions. Even though there are many discrepancies in anatomical and behavioral feature, it can mitigate through proper training and development.
In conclusion, since in the present world women seeks equality with men in all streams of life, it would be appreciable if they are provided with equal opportunities, consequently they can take part in the social, political, ethical and legal issues.
