Technology is thriving rapidly in the last 10 years and becoming indispensable for most people. It leads to debate between two flows of opinion. Some people say we are dependent on it uncontrollably. However, some believe technology is enhancing our lives. This essay will discuss about both aspects. In my opinion, technology brings so many advantages providing that we can control it.
To begin with, technology has shaped our life and made it more convenient. The appearance of modern technology helps us work and learn faster, easier and more effectively. With a smart phone, for instance, we can do a lot of things: shopping, paying the bills, playing games, listening to music, watching movies, . . . We do not need to go for a long distance to meet our lovers, just a smart device like laptop or smart phone is enough. Our life is better than before thanks to the development of technologies.
On the other hand, we cannot deny that technology adversely influences our life. If we are not self-controlled, we can be addicted to these smart gadgets. Obviously, when we have free time, we tend to take smart phones to surf the Internet to update news, or watch videos on Youtube and Facebook, which is useless. For some cases, it makes us lazier. When we want to go to convenient store near our house, we ride motorbike rather than ride cycle or on foot. We are lazy to remember useful tips that help us survive because we rely on Google, " When I meet this problem, I will ask Google" is the common thought of many people.
Otherwise, I think whether technology is good or bad depending on how we use it. Thus, it it essential to balance digital life and real life and make sure we know exactly what we are doing.
