Some people believe that electronic calculators should not be allowed in school until after the pupils have mastered mental arithmetic. Others believe that calculators save pupils time, especially with complicated calculations.

It is true that technology is created to assist human activities, so people can do their activities faster and easier. Based on this purpose, many people say that electronic calculators should not be given permission in school before they understand about mathematics. Others opine that using calculators can save students time in doing hard mathematical problems. In my view, using calculators for students make them hard to understand to solve the mathematics problem by their own knowledge. In this essay i will discuss both the views. To start with, mathematics is a complicated subject in the school, as it consists of airthmetic, trigonometrics and algebra. Pupils demand to understand how to solve the problem in maths with their own knowledge and not with calculators so it trains them to do their next exam. For instance, teacher teaches students about how to solve the complicated math problems step by step. By this way they can learn and enhance their ability about mathematics because they know how to explain the answer which they get. Thus, students can do better in exam without calculators. Furthermore, some think that the aim of calculating without calculators can enhance their skills and sharpen the brain as well. If they have quiz competition in their school in maths, students who doesnot use calculators can guess the answer fast rather the calculators using students. So, that is why mastering in calculation skill for students is important. In contrast, childrens can use calculators to solve maths problems. The reason is that, using calculators while solving math problems can save their time. For example, some students skip airthemtics and algebra in their subject because it is not easy to solve with their own, it need calculators which have tools and key points to do their task. Thus, it make easier to students to answer difficult questions about complicated calculations. In buying daily needs for instance, the calculations are so simply, just calculate all prices, so they prefer calculators. Also students should not have to search for formula rather they can easily solve with calculators. To sum up, i agreed with the opponents argumentation who do not allowed students to use electronics calculators. I think learners should not be taught being lazy students who depends on calculators. This way make them poor in calcylation skills.
