Some people argue that the government should give every unemployed person a mobile phone and should make sure they have access to the Internet. They believe this is the best way of using public money to reduce the problem of unemployment. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, it is possible to observe an increasing number of unemployed people who are struggling in order to find a work place and money for simply living. There is a controversy, whether the government should spend financial resources in order to provide digital devices such as mobile phones with an access to internet for those who do not have a job. Will it be reasonable and useful for reducing unemployment? This is the main controversial question. To begin with, there are various reasons why public money should be spent for providing mobile phones to increase employment. Firstly, there are different platforms and websites for hiring and posting resume such as LinkedIn or Profi. ru (in Russia) in the Internet thus to use these services people just need a mobile phone with Internet connection. Moreover, it is time-consuming so they do not need to spend time go from place to place and just asking managers about vacancies. Secondly, with access in internet they can find useful information for preparing for job interview and free courses to develop different skills. On the other hand, some people can use this opportunity improperly. For instance, when people have free time they usually spend it in social platforms like a TikTok oand Instagram or watching funny videos and playing games. Therefore, it can rise unemployment rate and not get rid of it. In conclusion, it remains a controversial issue, but there are still more advantages than disadvantages. In my opinion, the government should find other ways out of this situation.
