Some people argue that space exploration has had more to do with national pride that international effort.

I believe that space missions were made firstly for proving the dominance of a country in that area. But i am sure that it will turn over with time and national pride will be only the secondary aspect. Let us remind the history of first decades after space exploration had started. Two the most powerful countries were fighting for achivements that had never been done before. Definitely at that time cooperation between them was really poor and the “space giants” were led only by desire of superiority. There was not any positive colaboration, thus, It can not be said that international effort was leading. During that time up to nowadays, people have made lots of space explorations, so I suppose that country leaders behavior turns into more international friendly and there is significant change in communication and mind resources sharing. Furthermore we have the tremendous escalating Earth pollution, and it is quite reasonable to become more incorporated. Space research hopefully will give the posibility to refine the planet or even to leave it. Unfortunately, human being does not want to substitute his lifestyle and stop damaging our planet, surely our capitulation into space is an unpleasant salvation. Although it is hard, we must unite and stop thinking only about ourselves or our nation, we must break this wall and cooperate for dealing with any disease. Speaking about future changings, i think that the first significant step that we are going to do is the Mars landing. First human on the Mars will enter all books definetely. To my mind, next steps are people trevelling into space or even moon colonisation. For instance, people can make an attractive entertainment by doing this, on the other hand, it might accelerate techological progress by giving smart people the opportunity to watch and investigate space and planets by their own. To sum up, the world changed tremendously, there is much more information sharing between countires. Despite this each inhabitant want to feel national pride, so this factor will never gone. But i am personally sure, that between the half of last century and nowadays we have been changing our attitude to space research, and one day we will pride about international goal scoring.
