In this progressive and sophisticated world where we live, there has been huge advancement in every field, which has further led to myriad of competitions. Additionally, rewarding someone over their victory could make them jubiliated. However, I do not think that it is a better idea when some parents offer their school-age children money as a reward, when they get high grades in school, for some conspicious reasons which are pinpointed further.
To begin with, researches suggests that appreciating a child, when he gets good marks in the school could be one of the foremost reason which would make their day even better as well as making them confident enough for their next exam. However, awarding them everytime with the money would further built a habit for them. Apart from all, children may not be able to understand the value of funds. An example of my neighbour could be a compelling illustration for this. Everytime when my neighbour would score good grades in the primary, her father would award her with the cash price of Rs 1000/-. Eventually, she got confident enough that whatever marks she might obtain, she would definitely get some funds, which further made a habit. Besides this, if a child might not recieve a cash prize, then it would further disappoint them.
Secondly, apart from giving money to the school-age children would be inappropriate because they might not be able to face the competitions which would be far challenging further. Moreover, if the parents want to appreciate their child then they could buy small gifts for them which could be beneficial as well as valuable to them. In addition to this, the gifts would be more astounding for them as compared to cash.
In conclusion, owing to aforementioned reasons, I concur that offering money to the school-age children by the parents would be unnecessary. On the top of that, school-age children would be immature to acknowledge the worth of funds. Nevertheless, small gifts could easily facilitate them for achieving further higher grades.
