Question 49 Imagine that your city government has given permission for a major company to build a large factory near your neighborhood. Do you think this is a good idea? Why or why not? Explain your position using specific reasons and examples.

In the past few decades our world develops at a very rapid pace. And in our time there are a number of factories which are developed and increase their quantity. Sometimes a government allows large factories to be built near the place where people live. However, what’s the best way to behave as a government? Is it a good idea to be built production plant next to people’s homes? To my way of thinking, it’s a thoughtless act on the part of some government. I believe that factories should be built in a particular territory where there are no buildings. Factories is a large production of something which covers vast areas. During this process carbon dioxide emissions are realized and the other emissions as well, which in turn affect people and surroundings. Also, it looks intimidating, I think no one wants to live close to this wonderful place. When politicians permit the construction of some factories near houses, perhaps they do not think about people or just do not imagine how it damages their health, I guess. Or in this time, they just think about only economical benefits. In addition, they destroy the beauty of city, turning it into the city of factories with bad ecology. Furthermore, if the plant is built nearby, then might be many workers around and you’re quarter might be overpopulated, it is also not so good. I think, the city government should allocate a certain place out of city for construction some factories. Summarizing all the above, I strongly believe that the construction of factories should be carried out in specialized areas to reduce the danger to people. Deputies should take such issues seriously and think about the future life of people and the development of the city, and not only about the development of the enterprise.
