protect countryside or develop

protect countryside or develop pb9DL
Rapid population growth results in a lack of enough homes for the entire population. Expanding cities and building new homes is the first solution of governments and municipalities. In some cases, it is the most ideal option, however it can cause some problems in other cases. That is why there are different opinions for and against this option. In this essay, different cases are going to be discussed. To commence with, there are a lot of cities in the world which are located in appropriate places. By appropriate, it means that they are not hazardous for the environment and expanding them is not going to ruin natural resources. In this case, building new homes in the countryside is an ideal option because it reduces the cost of migrating homeless people to other cities. On the contrary, there are some cities which are surrounded by jungles, mountains, rivers, lakes, etc. In this case, city expansion may result in damages to the natural resources. These cities should not be built in those locations at all. Therefore, at this time, governments should restrict developing new businesses that lead to high population growth in those locations. Besides, if possible, governments should consider transferring some official institutes like universities and ministries to new cities to transfer population growth to the territories that are capable of accepting new residents. To conclude, it is not wise to offer a single prescription for all the cities around the world. Governments should consider geographical and social characteristics of each territory to make the best decision about settling homeless residents of each city.
