Population changes as per given graph

Population changes as per given graph O5NNy
The given graph compares the population changes in four countries that are China, India, the USA and Japan. The populations have been calculated as a percentage of total world population and are compared over a century. In 1950, China accounted just over a quarter of the total population which fell down the quarter mark in 2000. After 2000, a significant decrease is observed where the population remains just 19%. Opposing to China, India shows a reverse trend where the population increases almost linearly over the century. In 1950, the country accommodated around 15% of the world’s population which increased to approximated 18% and 21% in 2000 and 2050 respectively. The USA followed the pattern of China but only between 1950 and 2000. where the share of population decreased from to 10 % to just 7% approximately. Over the next half century, the population stabilised and no significant increase or decrease was observed. Japan on the other hand showed steady decrease in population from 5% in 1950 to 4% in 2000 and then finally decreasing to 3% of the total world share.
