Barcelona guide tour. Make an itinerary for Passeig de gracia, Las Ramblas and seafront. Al6Oe
Your Barcelona journey starts from Diagonal station. Your route will not be difficult, but will be unforgettably interesting and saturated. As soon as you get off the subway you will see crossroads. You need to go along the beautiful street called Passeig de gracia. This street one of the most famous streets in Barcelona. You will immediately see that on the opposite side of the street Casa Mila is located. This fantastic building was invented by famous architect - Gaudí. La Pedrera (Casa Mila) was included in the World Heritage List: thus, it became one of the first monuments of the industrial era included in this list of the most unique places on the planet. You may buy a ticket and see how this house looks inside. I'll get ahead of you by saying that you need to carry on this street for about 24 minutes, but don’t be scared this walking will be unforgettable. Along the road there are huge number of different stores. Literally at every step there will be different shops and cafes. You may choose some cafe that more suitable for you and you may eat and rest there. Also, if you want to buy something for you or maybe your relatives then you can visit these stores. Although it is a popular place, the prices there are not so high, but if you want to save money then it is better to look at things in the neighboring quarters. Almost through each 200 meters there are crossroads but you need to continue to walk along the Main Street. On your side of street there is a Casa Batllo. This is another popular building that gaudi came up with. You may also buy a ticket and then see the beauty inside. In the middle of the house there is a garden, unusual carved doors from wood and partitions made of corrugated glass and many more unusual things. Then, you have to go straight again and you need to crops by the metro station Passeig de Gracia. During your walking you can admire different architectural structures and huge posters at the end of buildings. You come to a highway called Gran via de les corts Catalanes. In the middle of the road there are oases with nature, which also looks incredible. When you're done admiring it keep moving straight ahead. Stop when you see Plaça de Catalunya. This lively square is the heart of Barcelona. Also it’s a favourite meeting place for locals and visitors. It also connects the Eixample and the old town. There are six sculptural groups around the plaza: they represent the four Catalan capital cities, wisdom and labour. You may sit or meet with someone there. You need to take first right and then at the edge of the Plaça de Catalunya turn left on the another famous street called La rambla. This is very lively street. There a lot of living figures that show different performances. For instance, a woman that looks like a gold angel, a man in the white paint, a man in the form of a monster who wants to cut off your head, a woman in the form of a fly from the fairy tale Little Fly So Sprightly etc. It’s all people from different countries who earn enough money for living. It’s really hard work, because above the scorching sun, people stand motionless in many costumes until someone tosses them a coin and then they start the show. I think people who don’t like it could never work like this. If you a little bit tired then you can go to some store to sit and relax. There are many kind people who work in those shops there which can give you sweets and tea or even tell you some interesting stories or recommend you good places in Barcelona, if you want it of course. You have to carry on Las Ramblas for about 15 minutes and you’ll be in front of seafront. It’s also amazing place there is a port with ships and area where there are a lot of benches which you can sit on and enjoy a beautiful landscape especially if it’s evening when the sun goes down. Then you can go up to another shopping center or to a famous oceanarium where a lot of interesting reptiles and aquatic animals are shown. And you cannot go wrong because these buildings very close to each other. I’m sure you’ll like it. I think it’s enough for your first time in Barcelona, but if you want more, then you can go along the seafront and then you’ll see Columbus monument. Then you can turn left and go up through some parallel street in order to see how to look like quiet lanes in Barcelona. Then take the metro and go back to the hotel, you deserve a good rest after such a busy walk.
