Nowadays technology is increasingly being used to monitor what people are saying and doing (for example, through cell phone tracking and security cameras). In many cases, the people being monitored are unaware that this is happening.

Privacy is one of the biggest concern in this new electronic era. Once said great power comes with great responsibilities. In this technology world people thinks that if the product is free the company is doing a great thing giving them service for free but generally people don’t know about there dark truth. As a software engineer I can truly say that “if the product is free then you are then product”. Have you ever noticed that sometimes when you are discussing about any product with any person suddenly an relevant ad comes in your social media app. There are many big companies who are constantly breaking the privacy of there users by listening to them via microphone and giving them relevant ads to generate revenue for company. And they have to do it to sustain their business in world as I they are giving services for free but there are some limitation to take data from user and many companies are crossing the limit. The data is not only being tracked by companies but it can be also tracked by third party person like hackers. And they can sell the data to the dark web which is not a good sign for users. That’s why now people are moving to open source application for social media because it’s way more secure then private apps. On the other hand, existence of CCTV in public can be beneficial to people if they used appropriately by government. With existence of these video monitoring device, it would help to police to identify the criminal and with cell phone tracking they can find the criminal. In conclusion, it is the way how the tracking device is being handled if it being handled appropriately it can be beneficial other wise it can be nightmare for people.
