Most countries allow 18 years old to start driving a car. Some say it is good to allow it at this age, while others think that the age to start driving should at least 25 years old. V0Eow
One of the most discussed topic currently is the legal age of driving a car. Some people of the opinion that age limit should be increased to 25 years on the safe side while believe that people should start driving a car at the age of 18 years. In this essay, the reasons on both side of arguments will be analysed and reasonable conclusion made.
On the one hand, most countries think that driving should be allow at the age of 18. There are many reasons to support this. Person crossing 18 years should be treated as an adult who can take responsibility of himself and others. To illustrate further, Russia allow its citizen to use their democrat right to cast a vote at the age of 18. Similarly, alcohol is allowed at the age of 18 years. Secondly, at the age of 18 reflexes of person is also fully developed and hence driving a car should not be an issue technically if driving norms are follow. Lastly, at 18 years, person is responsible for his actions by law. For example, if someone commit heinous crime before 18 years then that teenager should not get imprisonment but authorities take him to the correctional centre.
On the other hand, there are arguments in support of the minimum age should be increase to 25 years for driving. One of the main reason for this opinion is reckless impulsive nature of adolescents and teenagers. For example, there was study conducted and released in four metropolitan in Russia regarding two wheeler accident. In that, most of that accidents involves teenagers. Another probable reason for increasing the age limit to 25 is most of the people are married at that age. Having dependents tend to responsible and make driving safe.
To recapitulate, I believe 18 years is an ideal age for driving as adulthood approach. However, rising the age limit to 25 should not decrease the incidents of rash driving. One should be responsible person and take care of the society.
