The maps illustrate the transformation in the coastal place of Templeton during the thirteen-year period, from 2000 to 2013. As can be seen, from the maps this place had developed and become more industrial over the given period. According to the maps, in 2000 the seaside resort of Templeton was a quiet, natural, undeveloped place with many trees, while by 2013 it had experienced significant changes. First of all, the trees had been cut down and the new factory had been constructed on the right side of the river, which runs from the south of the city to the north and divides it into two parts. Moreover, on the left side of the river, there is a new supermarket instead of houses and trees. Another striking change was an extension of the railway along the coastline. Furthermore, in 2013 the sea had been used for the transportation of cars as well. Overall, the resort underwent a development from largely old to a more modernized landscape.
