Throughout history, literacy has been an essential issue for all the world. Unfortunately, this becomes a major problem in the third world. There are a number of reasons why this phenomenon happened, and also it has significant effects on society. Literacy is one of the severe trouble for the third world. In my view, this problem happened due to the lack of responsibility of governments. For instance, if they allocate a huge budget to establishing more public schools, and pay a high income to teachers for their duties, not only people will encourage going to the schools but also instructors will be more willing to teach others, because, on the one hand, the tuition of private schools is too much for people to pay, and on the other hand, there are fewer pointers who tend to work voluntarily. As a result, governments should develop welfare facilities for people who are enthusiastic to study. However, this event has significant effects on society. Firstly, a few people can get a good position in their workplace due to the companies are more demand for those who are literate. This can have detrimental side effects, for example, when people are faced with this problem, they are longing to do some illegal things to get a good income. Secondly, those individuals who are like to study might be decided to immigrate to other countries for education. In conclusion, it is one of the most important duties for governments to invest in educational systems and provide a suitable situation for their residents.
