Jaian really deserve being hated?

Jaian, a character in the famous comic series Doraemon, is typically portrayed as a character whose ugly appearance and gruff personality with many unfavorable details, but from another perspective, he has several good qualities that none of his friends possess. The first is that Jaian is the most mature of Nobita's friends. He is the only child to show up helping his mother deliver and sell goods. Moreover, he realizes his responsibility as a brother although he is still young. He is brave enough to protect her whenever she is in trouble. In addition, he is subtle enough to recognize Jaiko's artistic talent and finds many ways to make her arts well known. If he was completely rude as perceived by many readers, he wouldn’t look after his sister in such a way. Another Jaian’s good trait is his enthusiasm for pursuing his own dreams. He has a dreadful voice, yet he desires to become a singer. That his friends run away as quickly as possible every time he sings is unable to restrain him from singing. Even once Jaian alone prepared a stage from the light to the music to perform and invite his friends regardless of whether his friends come to join or not. Even if there is only one, he sings passionately. In short, although he often bullies his friends, what Jaian shows was not worth the hate.
