It is usually quoted that “Not everything that is learned is contained in books”. While many people assume that most of the things we learn are from our own experience, others suppose that books are our key source of knowledge. In the paragraph, I will compare and contrast knowledge obtained from books with knowledge gained from experience. From my standpoint, both types of knowledge are extremely crucial. First and foremost, there is a disparity in methods of getting knowledge from books and knowledge from experience. Formal education is often achieved from attending ìn schools or educational institutions. In this environment, learners need to read a sheer number of books, documents, and different references. Furthermore, they will study under the instructions of teachers. In contrast, only by working can people acquire knowledge from their own experience. Secondly, each type of knowledge has different positive impacts on humans’ jobs. While knowledge gained from books could support people in research areas, individuals could put practical knowledge into practice. In short, theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge have indispensable role in human life.
